AFF Book of the Week: Come check it out!

Post by Snoopy » Wed May 16, 2012 10:35 pm

AFF Members,

We know you’re an Animorphs fan… that’s why you’re a member of our forum. But when was the last time you actually picked up one of these books and read it? For some of us, it’s been a long time. That’s why AFF is starting the new “Book of the Week” program. Here’s how it works:

Every week, we’ll read one of the Animorphs books, starting with #1, and going through in the order of publication. Each week, we’ll create a new thread for the book we’re on, and those who are reading can post comments/questions about the books as we go along. This way, everyone will be “on the same page” (almost literally) when we go to discuss the books, and there will be a lot of interesting discussion.

You don’t have to “sign up” to be a part of this… everyone is welcome. All you have to do is read the book (or, really, you don’t even have to do that… you can just jump in and comment on the book of the week if you remember it well enough from reading it before). If you haven’t read through the series in a while, and you want to get back into these great books, this is a great opportunity. Or if you’re new to the series, and you want to get into it more, then this is a great way to get started.

We’ll be starting within the next few weeks, if you’d like to participate. Just check your private messages and the announcement board for information about when we start on the first book.

Hope to “see” you all soon in the forum!

Let's see if I can find book one in a timely manner!
I'll be looking forward to it.

That sounds most rad. I suspect it will facilitate a much more in-depth literary discussion. I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully I'll finish my current re-read of the series before it starts!

Great idea, pal. Count me in!
Tomorrow is an empty canvass, white and spacious, full of promise, what will you paint on it?

But I JUST finnished book #33!
I can't start book #1 until I find out how it ends! (again, somehow I don't think the ending has changed from the last time I read it, but you never know, now do you?)
Vote for me! I will fix everything, giving everyone health care, food, a home with high speed internet and a good paying job, & kill everyone who makes more then $1 million per year &give their money to the poorest 10%.

sounds like a great idea! This way I now have a way to control my book-shopping addiction on Amazon. I do this because I never want to spend a single day without having any book to read. I guess the book discussion thread should help. I'm definitely in!

We will begin with the first book, The Invasion this weekend! So go ahead and read through it, and get ready for some great discussion.
