Worst Harry Potter book?
Which was the worst Harry Potter book you read? For me it was the 4th 5th book: The Order of the Phoenix. I really didn't like the middle stages of the book, it was sluggish and boring.

2nd book by far. It was dull compared to the rest, and really wasn't that important in the series. I didn't care for it at all.
I'm surprised by the people who say the 4th is worst. That actually is one of my favourites. The 3rd book is by far the best in my opinion.

I really didn't like the third one. JK Rowling said that that was her favorite one, but it just didn't work for me. I think the one I liked the most was the forth.

Worst : Fifth book. It was boring until near the end. Best: Fourth one. Everything was happening at the same time, you really didn't know what to expect. Adrenaline filled.

Second one.... so boring.. Although the Order of Pheonix rivals it. Both were well.... stupid and colourless. So different from the Animorphs, every book is good!

Re: Worst Harry Potter book?
I agree with who ever said the 2nd. It simply did not hold me as well as any other book in the series did. I liked the 'plot' of the book, but the tone completely turned me off.
The 6th and 7th had their problems. It seemed like the editor just got sloppy, blinded by the mounds of money the series was worth and just wanted to get it out the door after the manuscript was done. But the feel behing those books were just as strong as the 1st, 3rd and 5th.
Not sure whats so bad about the 5th. Doesn't have the polish of the 3rd but it has that same dark tone. Sure Harry going emo on us was redicoulously annoying, but meh, you can't have everything.
