I just got done rereading this book and I found it very boring. It felt more like a messed up history lesson than anything. Why did the Drode tell them what was going on instead of the Ellimist? It was too obvious that Jake would die. And at the end of D-Day they all start worrying about morals? This book was not worth the time.

I really liked seeing how everyone reacted to the death. But the end felt really rushed. Like running down a hardwood hall in your socks and sliding, only to suddenly stop before you hoped you would, leaving you stumbling and off-balance.
