One of my favorite things about this book is seeing the discord within the Yeerk ranks. I also enjoyed seeing Marco's emotions behind his jokes. Plus, that fortune cookie speech was both hilarious and inspiring.

Ax shows how much he is a kid in this book. He is irresponsible, impulsive and doesn’t question authority. This also shows that the war isn’t going to be magically won because they now have an Andalite ally.

To answer Menno's question, I believe The Predator refers to how Marco compares the Mother Ship to a predator about to pounce on Earth. Also I thought the "little wrinkled ones" were gedds also because on book 6 Jake mentions seeing gedd on the Mother Ship. Question of my own: on the Mother Ship the controllers have different uniforms, we know black and gold is for Visser One and black and red is for Visser Three but what about the brown ones? Visser Four maybe?
