The lyrics to "Jack's Lament" ar copyrighted to Tim Burton. This is something that I whipped up to introduce one of my most personal OC's, Ado the Na. I might do some backstory on him and Dahlia (the girl in the picture)
Ado stalked down the halls of his freighter, his long thin arms tucked behind his back. His many stolen treasures lined the walls, waiting to be sorted by Skrit slaves. He passed up a large, spherical device stolen from the last member of some dieing race. He believed it was called a “Time Matrix.”
There are few who'd deny, at what I do I am the best
For my talents are renowned far and wide
When it comes to surprises in the moonlit night
I excel without ever even trying
With the slightest little effort of my ghostlike charms
I have seen grown men give out a shriek
With the wave of my hand, and a well-placed moan
I have swept the very bravest off their feet
“Captain?”
“Yes, Milo?” he asked with a bored tone.
“Well, we found another treasure, sir. Should we intercept?”
Ado sighed. “Yes.” He shook his head and kept walking.
Yet year after year, it's the same routine
And I grow so weary of the sound of screams
And I, Jack, the Pumpkin King
Have grown so tired of the same old thing
He stopped by a window. They were passing an unexplored star. It made him feel like he needed to be somewhere. Somewhere where he wouldn’t have to steal treasure for respect.
Oh, somewhere deep inside of these bones
An emptiness began to grow
There's something out there, far from my home
A longing that I've never known
“Fire,” he waved his hand, pointing to the Hawjabran freighter. Pale beams sliced clean holes into the ship’s hull, and Hawjabrans fell out into the vacuum of space. The ship docked.
I'm a master of fright, and a demon of light
And I'll scare you right out of your pants
To a guy in Kentucky, I'm Mister Unlucky
And I'm known throughout England and France
He walked the balcony to his victim’s ship. A singly Hawjabran clutched at a small book, the supposed “Treasure.” Ado snatched it disdainfully. “Ah, the Raven. Edgar Allen Poe? After the extinction of humans, this has become quite valuable.” He snapped it shut. “Mine.”
And since I am dead, I can take off my head
To recite Shakespearean quotations
No animal nor man can scream like I can
With the fury of my recitations
He sighed inside of his personal quarters, throwing the book down on the floor. He had twelve copies scattered like this.
But who here would ever understand
That the Pumpkin King with the skeleton grin
Would tire of his crown, if they only understood
He'd give it all up if he only could
His head lifted from his hands to see a picture. Of a girl, whom he had abducted several years ago. It was of them together. She smiled.
But she wouldn’t have been smiling at that moment. For he had sold her to Yeerks, and now he regretted it. She understood him unlike anyone else.
Oh, there's an empty place in my bones
That calls out for something unknown
The fame and praise come year after year
Does nothing for these empty tears
A small tear formed in his eye.

Is there more? 'Cause that was A) totally awesome, and B) it stopped in a strange way, a good way, abrupt though.
