I actually think the ninja turtles are a great, compact example of a loveable team.
You have the leader (Leonardo)
The comic relief (Michelangelo)
The tough guy (Raphael)
The tech-wavy egghead (Donatello)
And the old wise advisor (Splinter).
Now, you can have other things like the hothead (in the prior case the hothead is also the tough guy). But the ninja turtles are probably the most minimal albeit effective team that I know of. The only way they could have made it more compact is if they made the wise one the leader as some teams have done.
