Characters and How They Look

Post by hawkwardtobias » Thu Dec 12, 2013 2:13 pm

When you were reading the books, did you imagine the characters looking the way they did in the shows? On the book covers? The aliens looked so much different than what I thought they looked like. Did anyone else experience this?

Well, I had a good idea of what most of the aliens looked like before sitting down to read the books, having interacted with them for most of my life. As for the Animorphs, well, I guess I imagined them to be more like the book covers than the TV show, since I had seen the book covers first. Except Marco, who I imagined was more like the TV version than the book cover version.

<My view looked more like the book covers. The Iskoort were the hardest for me to imagine some how they came out looking like something out of Dr. Suess.>

My mind imagined the characters and aliens looking different than both the book covers and the show. It's close to the books but not quite the same. Although I was really surprised when I saw a Hork-Bajir. For some reason, I had it in my head that they were yellow and much stockier. For the Taxxons, I always think of the blood worms from Final Fantasy.

The Taxxons did look different for me. I thought they were like centipedes but they look not much like that :P

I was a big fan of Pokemon when I was younger, so until I saw what a Hork-Bajir looks like, I kind of imagined them as a cross between Scyther and Kabutops.
I am from Australia. I am Australese.

On 10 May 2015, I became a cyborg.

Did I make an error when I said I was Australese?
