Solanum tuberosum.

Would have been very useful during their undercover McDonald's missions.

Well, about as useful as morphing cows to go into McDonald's. They'd be dead, no?

Arctic Terns. They can fly from the Arctic to the bottom of the Earth and back in a year, they can do long distance flights easily.

I would like to point out that since mosquitoes got the animorphs ejected into z-space, wouldn't waterbears be out of the question?

Well, tardigrades can survive ten days in space, so it's more of an "Oh noes we got thrown into space what to do?!" thing.

Nope--it wasn't the tiny mass of the mosquitos that did it. They've morphed fleas, much less massive than mosquitos, with no problems. What got them ejected into zero-space? Maybe the passing andalite ship. Maybe an Ellimist trick (after all, that DID result in an entire planet being saved from the yeerks). Or maybe both.

In #42, I totally thought they were going to end up having to acquire and morph the helmacrons, since they'd been shrink-rayed to 1/100 of helmacron size, and remember, like the anteater in #24, newly acquired DNA isn't affected by the shrinking technology. I think it would have been awesome if Tobias or Rachel had acquired the Kronosaurus that ate them in MM2. Especially if they could keep the DNA after escaping the Sario rip. As has already been mentioned elsewhere on this site, geese would have been great for long flights.

I believe the mosquito incident was the first time they had all simultaneously morphed such a small organism, so on top of outlying factors, there was more mass for a possible ship to collide with (although the chance was still slim).

I think a badger would be a great battle morph in cramped places where bigger animals would have mobility issues.

They should have morphed a kangaroo, would be a hilarious battle morph.
