Quantum Virus

Well, I've been hinting at this for a little while now, so I figured I'd finally post it here.
Quantum Virus is an Animorphs-themed "band" consisting of me, Adam (aka Blu) writing lyrics, and my friend who will be doing all the mixing/mastering.
Right now we're working on a concept thingy titled "Free, So Don't b****." The reason I'm calling it a thingy is because I have no clue how long it will be or of what quality..

Animorphs: The Abridged Series. Post there so I'm not lonely.

So just shut your face and take a seat, 'cause after all, we're just talking meat. And music?

Well, it's just entertainment, folks.

Nope, using a drum machine.
What, you think we can afford real drums? You silly hawk-rilla!

Can't wait to hear some! Any chance of a sneak-peek sometime soon?

Also, can I ask what the songs are about?

We're almost done recording Entombed by Birth, so expect that within a week or two.
The songs are mostly about my time as a Controller. They will probably fall in the wangsty category, quite honestly, but I think the compositions might save it.

Edit: Now Logan's trying to see the effects of sleep deprivation of music composition. I really hope this turns out better than I'm expecting it to.

Hoo, a lot has happened for this in the last few days. First off, the tracklist if completely finalized. It's in the original post if you haven't seen it.

Also, while writing what was supposed to be the progressive hard rock material, the songs ended up gravitating toward experimental hard rock more than anything. What does that mean? Well, it means that that two of the the songs on the EP will have a very odd structure, since at some point, we decided that we would stop going for more appealing musical compositions and instead try pushing the boundaries of exactly what we could do structure-wise with a guitar, a drum machine, and a voice and still stay in the general hard rock genre. I believe the riffs that were written are actually very good, but the two songs that I'm referring to will be a little hard to follow on first listen. The acoustic material will be a little more accessible, but expect a little bit of chaos from the middle tracks on the EP.

That being said, this is definitely the most experimental that we are going to go with this project. We really don't know where we're going musically after this; maybe more industrial-based, maybe more electronica-inspired, or possibly even a full-on progressive rock album. We really have no clue, but we guarantee that future releases will be a little less awkward on first listen.

Looking forward to hearing it. I like a bit of experimentation :)

Thanks! Unfortunately, Logan has a pretty nasty sinus infection right now, so he can't sing, meaning that it might still take a little bit for a song to get online.

Edit: It's pretty much cleared up now. We'll try recording some vocals tomorrow morning and see how it turns out.

Sorry, but I had to remove Entombed by Birth from the tracklist. As time went on, I grew to hate that song and everything about it; the composition sucked, and the lyrics were terrible. Hopefully, this gives us time to work on the better songs.

First off, merry Christmas, everybody!
Second, I got a USB preamp and a decent microphone today, so the EP might actually sound listenable!! Yay!
Also, I listened to Psychostick's first album today. Am I the only one who thinks that they actually make metalcore seem listenable?
