THIS... IS... LUNA-ART!

Post by Luna May » Fri Feb 19, 2010 1:52 pm

At long last, here are the pics I've been blabbing about for the past ten months or so.
I'll leave this short; no use in boring you with a long, twisted tale describing how very sorry and guilty I feel for not getting to this for so long. In short, I am. Very much so. And, well, I took photographs of most art and sat down for a few hours, sorting them out by category, filtering out unfocused shots, and lamely cropping and sticking them together with the technological wonder that is Microsoft Paint. Till I get my hands on some Photoshop (hopefully soon), this is all that I've got, so it's been slow work. I'm still not finished as I'm typing- there are over two hundred pics, though admittedly many are references and close-ups- but I'm getting there. I've got the Question-Tailed 'Lites, the Get Well dedicated to Neesh when he was ill, the five sketch-versions of Mik's I hope you feel better soon concept art (meh, that sounds pompous), and of course, the very recent (hoozah!) Kelbridoodles, which I cherish almost as much as the Andadoodles, which've been around much longer and have turned into something of an obsession with time, making up most of the gallery (again, sounds pompous). I still have to tackle the Evolution Of The Hork-Bajir And The Merging Of Their Fates With That Of The Random Cuddly Dino, a few random alien doodles, and doodles which manage to be wonderfully random even without any aliens. I don't think the latter are going to get into the Animorphs Fanart thread, since it isn't their rightful place, but it still feels good to know I've taken care of them too. That leaves the Miserable Misleaded Pencilstrokes: See, It Used To Be Much Worse and the stuff that has no rightful place whatsoever, such as the Andalite Rider With Flapping Robes. Oh, and of course, there will be Windowlites.

Lookit that, just after I said that I wouldn't be rambling on for hours/pages at a time.
*shrug*
Okay, then! Here we go.

Oh, and I am gonna save this, because it's taken a considerable amount of time, and I'd be really annoyed if it was all deleted by mistake (ehm, Brian, Iael, Parents?-> those being cousin, sister, and, well, parents. And the Snake has a place of honor here, but let's not mention it.)

As I was saying, here we go.
For commentary, just ask for the number and section. It'll same time, space and probably patience, too. Organization powah.

Kelbridoodles:
1. http://img697.imageshack.us/img697/820/p2190250.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
2. http://img709.imageshack.us/img709/7245/p2190255.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
3. http://img99.imageshack.us/img99/6476/p2190260.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
4. http://img214.imageshack.us/img214/6606/p2190249.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
5. http://img6.imageshack.us/img6/4336/p2190221.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
6. http://img687.imageshack.us/img687/654/p2190351.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
7. http://img502.imageshack.us/img502/2968/p2190352.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
8. http://img265.imageshack.us/img265/2354/p2190354.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
9. http://img52.imageshack.us/img52/5808/p2190353.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

There. That's a start. *yawn* I'm tired as hell, and my whole body is aching from mantaining the same position for, what, three hours? Four? I've lost track. Anyways, you have 24 hours to bash up my creations at your heart's demand, then I'll be bringing a new batch. I think I'll be bringing the Hork-Bajir Evolution Sequence next; it's much shorter than the Andalite sequence, for a start, and apart for being a relatively recent and yet tough-to-tackle design that I've always been having trouble with, it is also an opportunity for me to push in some unexplainable lil' dinos, which is something I'm looking forward to. Just remember that these were all doodled during school, so there may be some half-finished drawings which were abandoned prematurely because of the Holy Bell. So, keep in mind, they're far from satisfactory, even the semi-complete ones.
Okay, I think I did enough of self-righteous justifications for the day.
Good night! :D

Woah, this feels great.

Hello, world (:

Two more hours of filing by category have just passed by. You know what that means: Update! I know that technically no one has even noticed the topic yet, but daily updating gives a feeling of action, so I'll stick to it. So, without further ado, here are the Windowlites.
1. http://img186.imageshack.us/img186/1305/p1183070.jpg
2. http://img96.imageshack.us/img96/7442/p2190356.jpg
3. This one is Dream's: http://img517.imageshack.us/img517/4991/p2190358.jpgThe question-mark isn't too clear in this shot, but it's there. I made another one, but the shot is too dark to make out anything beyond shiny patches from where the flash bounced off. I'll take a new pic of it (and the pencil guidelines) tomorrow when it's light. EDIT: It's nighttime, so the Windowlite will wait, but here's the concept drawing. http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/3427/p1183053.jpg Also, here is the first (and last, and most FAILED) green Windowlite in the history of the world, as far as I know. And for good reason. http://img246.imageshack.us/img246/4791/p2190355.jpg Appart from mentioning he was the brave pioneer of Windowlite questionmarktailedness, there's not much to say about him.
4. No. 1... with a baloon? Don't ask me, I just made the things.
http://img156.imageshack.us/img156/6048/p2190357.jpg

Aaaaaand some overdue concept art! :O

1. Mik's get well soon series: http://img709.imageshack.us/img709/3192/57183727.png, with the final version being: http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/6389/finalzk.jpg.
2. Neesh's flu-fighting Andalite, wielding a pot of chicken soup: http://img8.imageshack.us/img8/7379/neesh.png
3. TM's winged bunny, which didn't work out that well: http://img716.imageshack.us/img716/9812/p2190244.jpg
4. A few different styles of drawaing Andalites, which I've forgotten who it was dedicated to. If it's yours, step up and get your credit. Till we find out, it belongs to all of you. :3 http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/6619/76931659.jpg

And... wait, that's it? *double check* Yup. Whew. Finally. Well, I guess I'll tackle the Hork-Bajir next. I'm really looking forwards to showing you how a certain, perfectly innocent dino doolde managed to twine their fate with its own and change their fate forevermore. Yay for the nameless dino. It's becoming a favourite of mine. So, HB and the dino scheduled for tomorrow.
Oh, and there's something dedicated to TM, but it's not technically fanart, so I'm unsure as to wether or not I should post it here. Probably not.

That's my artistic input for the day, in all it's glamless glory. Now I've got a menacing pile of homework demanding my attention. I'm going to go and appease it before it eats me. Wish me luck. ^^

P.S: Here's a really loosely-drawn Kelbridoodle I seem to have missed: http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/6855/i ... edthis.jpg I hope it's swordlike. I like the way the Kelbrid looks pissed even without eyes.

I is a viewer, no? I just didn't reply earlier.

I like how the aliens are drawn, they have this certain cuteness to them. Even the normally scary ones.

Pencil strokes *sigh* I miss my pencil days so much.And know what they are pretty good considering the fact that my pencil work never found any viewers at all but yeah all disposal units at our school loved them(destiny had planned it such that they were never separated for long) infact plenty of my stuff went into the garbage dump while at school(some even think the same for my brains).So Luna keep up the good work(Hopefully you don't mind no-brainers).
Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.

*will have to look at these when she's not at school*

Honestly, what's the point of blocking Imageshack, school computers? Gawd.
(and incase any moral guardians are hanging about, YES I finish my work before screwing around on AFF ;D )
