I think most of you understand the concept, so I'll not bother with the nuts and bolts at this point.

I guess I'm in, although again, I gotta say that I'm not all that familiar with how RPG's work. I think I have a basic understanding of the nuts and bolts of Animorphs Battle, but even that I'm not sure of. So a brief explanation would be nice.

An RPG is where you take on the persona of a character (or characters). In this case, someone in the Animorphs universe. There are two types of characters: canons (those from the actual storyline) and non-canons (newly created characters such as my Yeerk general Guraff 427). Acting in the personality of your character (or characters) you interact with others, building a story. Here's an example of how a story develops with this (this is a highly trimmed down version of an RP we have going on a different site; the real version is much, much longer and better).
Ty just created a character: Ty Smith. Ty can morph. His parents and best friend, Ricky, are Controllers and saw him morph.
Ty flew tot he forest, looking for someone to help...
Jake's character is, logically, Jake. He read Ty's post and posted the following:
Jake was in the woods and saw Ty....
These two went back and forth through the posts several times and (in that time) kidnapped Ricky and starved his Yeerk. Everything was going fine. But then I joined in with my character: David
Once Jake and Ty left Ricky alone, David flew into the cave and demorphed. He told Ricky the truth about the Animorphs and told him all Ricky had to do was follow David...
At this point, Ricky was a character.
Ricky followed David, agreeing to do whatever it took to save his friend Ty from Jake and the others...
That's, like I said, an inadequate and trimmed down example, but it may give you an idea. If you're still confused, PM me.
