What kind of gun?

If its a big gun, that it was most likely a 29 murder-suicide that followed some drugged up rave. the killer was obviously on LSD.

Wait... how many people have died of bullet wounds?

30 people in a cabin. One is dead of bullet wounds. Which leaves 28 innocents and a murderer. The murder was not killed by bullets, or its just a single suicide. At any rate, that leaves 28-29 victims unaccounted for.

Man commits suicide, everyone else dies of shock.

Okay, the killer and the others likely died of another means. Perhaps a virus? Are all the windows an doors shut? Is it air tight? if so, they may have suffocated. The bullet death may have been an escape attempt gone bad.

Shut but not sealed. One murder for sure. The rest either accidental or environmental. The answer has to be simple. Painfully obvious even. I'm clearly not looking at it from the right direction. Any hints on what that direction might be?

Where are these woods located? Aditionally, does woods necessarily mean forrest? There's a difference.
