Can't access some stuff
Here is something odd. When I tried to get on some non Animorphs related topics, such as topics in the books section, it won't let me on. A window pops up saying that Internet explorer can't open the site and Operation aborted. Is it just my comp farting out again?

Re: Can't access some stuff
Must be your computers... I have never had that problem.
Either that or Ellimist was messing around with something.

Re: Can't access some stuff
Can you (fdragon010) or panzer please post a screenshot?
When you get the error screen, press the Print Screen key("Prt Scr" in some keyboards), go to Start -> Run, type in "pbrush", without the quotes, and then paste(Ctrl + V) in the Paint window. Then save the image as .JPG by going to File->Save As...

Re: Can't access some stuff
I think the DP is fine in this situation. Since the technical stuff is definitely beyond me, I'll just say what I can:
Eeew...IE.....
Oh; and feel free to add me on Yahoo if you want.
*waits for Soumik to make everything better*

Re: Can't access some stuff
If that really is the case, maybe it is not allowing the browser to open whatever link is present in Wolfy's sig. try it with another browser. if the problem persists, then maybe it is not that error at all.

Re: Can't access some stuff
This happens because of two reasons :
On the same note, I think we should disable videos in signatures. It's distracting.
- Google Maps API is present in the code and you are using IE 7. This isn't the case here.
- The Javascript code inside Wolfy's signature is trying to append to the BODY element even though it isn’t a direct child to the BODY element and you are using IE 7.
- Upgrade to IE 8. Or better, use an alternate browser.
- This has been known to work, but I'm not sure. Go to Tools —> Options —> Advanced —> Put a check in the box “Use HTTP 1.1 through proxy connections”. Click on Apply/OK.
On the same note, I think we should disable videos in signatures. It's distracting.

*Does so to* Though, rather than the distraction part, it it takes far more time for the said to load, esp with slow internet.capnnerefir wrote:*agrees*Ellimist wrote:On the same note, I think we should disable videos in signatures. It's distracting.
There are 10 types of people in this world. Those who understand Binary, and those who don't. Now 1/4th a Computer Scientist (or Computer Science Engineer, depending on my mood), i can safely say i fall into the first category.
