Why not just add a capcha system to prevent bots?

We have capcha (or something better; it's been a while since I signed up here

) but sometimes bots slip through. And sometimes people come here only to advertise stuff or spam our board.

I do not like jumping through hoops either, but at least we don't have to pay to be a member.

You know how on some websites you have to type the letters you see in an image before posting? That's a Captcha.
