Re: Taking care of ourselves
That's Seattle, all right.
The weird, bipolar state filled with weird, bipolar people.

It does rain over here sometimes, but in Seattle it rains 360 days out of the year.
Vote for me! I will fix everything, giving everyone health care, food, a home with high speed internet and a good paying job, & kill everyone who makes more then $1 million per year &give their money to the poorest 10%.

Re: Taking care of ourselves
For the four days I was there, this is true. And this was in the summer, which further proves that theory.
It's a cool city though. It's built on a bunch of hills (7 I think) so a bunch of the streets are sloped, and there are staircases all over the place and even elevators for pedestrian travel. Oh, and they throw fish around. (That's one of their main tourist attractions, make of that what you will...)

Lets keep on topic folks!
If you want to stay in good health you need to work out for at least 30 minutes a day, walking every other day, and doing upper body work the other days.

Re: Taking care of ourselves
You were at Pike Place, I'm guessing. The down-town of all down-towns. Where they have weird parades for strange things and absolutely NO free parking. And, of course, the market, and the weird statues of oddly-colored pigs. And I heard on the news the Pike Place Market clock is going down for some re-painting. Clock's been up there a long time, apparently. Long enough to be put on the news.

<I find that the best way to take care of myself is to spend time with the ones I love.>
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. (Matthew 11:28-30)

Re: Taking care of ourselves
You could always try doing jumping jacks and running 5 miles a day.
