My name is Eleven. The only one I know of.

My parents weren't hippies or anything, I guess they just liked the sound of it. It could be worse I guess, I knew a girl named Sunshine at one point in my life.

<What is a name?>
<Do I have one of those?>

<Just kidding, I've already posted my name here once or twice. If you really want to know what it is then you can hunt for it.>

My name is rare enough that I don't want to post it here ...

however, anyone who does know my real name and does some hunting could pretty easily figure out that I'm Salad Shooter. :)

Just curious, what's your take on having a really rare name? Is it cool? Annoying? I have a pretty common name, but if I ever have kids, I think about giving them more unique names. But I'm not sure if that's a good idea or not.

It's partially cool and partially annoying. The annoying comes from it being difficult to pronounce rather than it being rare.

Also, it's the name of a fictional character that gets confused with a different character from the same fandom all the time, and I have to correct and explain it all the time.

I'm considering changing my own name someday, not because I don't like my name, but because I'd like to be known by a name *I* picked and not my parents.

Name your kids whatever you want. They'll get over it. (Within reason. Don't go naming them Hitler or anything.)

Hmm. So I guess Satan is out too? jk

Yeah, whatever I decide (if I even have kids at all), I will try to go with something that's spelled the way it sounds. I always felt kinda sorry for those kids in school whose names were mispronounced every single year.

My name is Tobia. Back in the day when these books first came out (ugh I can say that now. e.e) people were like "Oh, like the hawk guy in the book!" and I was like NO IT WAS MY NAME FIRST.

*huff*
