Re: The Teacher Thread
Hey, I'm a teacher and I'm only slightly evil.
OK, strictly speaking, I'm a part-time private tutor. But I'm still in the business of teaching.

So if you are not evil, then I guess Master Crayak is calling you stupid.Master Crayak wrote:All teachers are stupid or evil and should be treated as such.
What should we do about it?

Re: The Teacher Thread
My favorite teacher was my agriculture teacher. She would occassionally take coffe orders and get us all coffe during lunch. Any teacher who brings high schoolers coffee is good in my book.

My favourite teacher would be my bio teacher. The teacher that wants everybody to pass and helps us to do so would be my maths teacher. She'd be nice if she wasn't so paranoid

Re: The Teacher Thread
This has nothing to do with anything, but meh, I was filtering out some mail, and I bumped into this:
This is something I have no idea how to respond to. oO
which was titled 'Orals Deserve Proper Respect'.To everyone,
Please remind your pupils that it is extremely impolite to chew gum while
doing the oral test.
This is something I have no idea how to respond to. oO

Re: The Teacher Thread
Teachers? What are those?
You mean the grown ups that always try to interrupt us when we are talking to our friends?

Re: The Teacher Thread
I have a lot of teachers I really like. My favorite teachers, and the ones that I have the most respect for, are my band director and last year's drama teacher (he has since moved to the history department, sadly). But they are amazing! I've had a lot of good teachers, but I have more respect for these two than I do for most. I think a lot of it is the way they view things... Like our band director not caring what score we get, as long as we "have fun and pour all our emotion into our performance." He expects us to do our best, but doesn't let the judges decide whether we did or not. He knows his band, and is pretty much proud of us no matter what, as long as we tried. We usually end up getting a good score anyway, though
And the drama teacher has a way of demanding respect. He can take the most disruptive, troubled students (literally), even if no other teachers are willing to deal with them, and not have a single problem from them. He has expectations, but there's something about him that makes everyone he has in his classes want to live up to and beyond those expectations. :] okay, I'm done ranting
